Clinical and Research Specialties: Abdominal Wall Surgery,Minimally invasive/laparoscopic Surgery, Vascular Surgery,Digestive Surgery,Proctology.His attention is primarly to the introduction of innovative tecnique and materials as the use of new prosthetic materials in the treatment of inguinal Hernias and also for proctological diseases with particular Emphasis of Hemorroidis with radiofrequency.His attention was finally paid to the surgical treatment of sacrococcigeal cysts with regard to technical modifications and the introduction of an original tecnique, called “tension free primarly closure”.he is also Author of a monography with the description of his tecnique. National coordinator of a Multicentric randomized trial for the treatment of inguinal hernia with Parietene Progrip.In 2010 he has also promoted the organization of the Italian Register Of Umbilical Hernia.In this field he as been involved,as the unique italian center for a new umbilical Prostheses.
